While looking through some New York Fashion Week, I happened to find some gowns by Marchesa which reminded me of my 18th birthday gown so let's take a stroll down memory lane.
As a filipino, for my eighteenth birthday, it is tradition to have a debut, but I did not want to have a traditional debut so I skipped out on some of the traditions like the cotillion dance, 18 candles and 18 treasures. I wanted a more modern 18th birthday, something different. My mom and I came up with the idea of a Vanity Fair party taking inspiration from the post-Oscar party they hold every year. With that we had the theme: A Vanity Fair Event on November 21st, 2014.

We wanted to do something very extravagant, just like a Vanity Fair party would be like and Nisie and the entire Enchanted Florist team did that and so much more! From flowers to lighting to planning, put all our ideas into reality and my party would not have been this cool if it wasn't for their help.
Both my gowns were custom made by Oliver Tolentino. We were working on them to make sure they were just right for about a year prior to the party!
I thought some of Marchesa's gowns from their Spring Ready-To-Wear 2016 at New York Fashion Week might seem a little familiar. A few ruffled ombré skirts hit the runway and here are a few that I thought had the ever so slightest bit of resemblance: [ X, X, X, X ]

And of course, what's a Vanity Fair party without a swag bag to say 'Thank You for coming!' We put some of my favorite things in the bag like dry shampoo, brushes, hand sanitizers, a bottle of Evian, and of course November 2014's issue of Vanity Fair.
None of this would not have happened without my parents, they did so much and I would never be able to thank them enough for everything they do for me and for everything did for this party alone! THE REAL MVPS!!!!!!
